SEO Strategist

Location: Remote (Full-Time, Work-from-home position).

One Firefly is seeking a skilled client-facing SEO Strategist to join our dynamic team!

Join us at One Firefly as our newest SEO Strategist, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our clients' online presence. Reporting to our SEO Lead, your role will be integral in guiding our SEO management services, seamlessly collaborating with our internal production teams, project management staff and our clients to ensure successful implementations. This role will be the quarterback for the SEO strategies and tactics to be executed by our team, and the primary interface for clients regarding SEO related project and activity discussions.

Your focus will be on the bigger picture of SEO – developing and executing effective strategies, overseeing project progress, and adapting to the ever-changing digital landscape. You'll also collaborate with our web teams on essential technical SEO aspects to enhance overall performance. What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the delivery and strategy of clients’ ongoing SEO management packages, serving as their main point of contact related to SEO inquiries.
  • Coordinate and lead cadenced SEO strategy review calls and delivery of monthly activity reports with clients, effectively communicating results, recommendations and answers to relevant questions.
  • Serve as an internal team expert related to SEO inquiries and regularly partner with digital marketing account managers and sales executives to develop integrated marketing strategies
  • Spearhead the ongoing larger-scale SEO strategy for clients enrolled in SEO management packages, utilizing deep understanding of SEO best practices and client’s current SEO performance and goals in alignment with One Firefly’ service offerings.
  • Effectively partner with and communicate strategy to internal team of SEO analysts, technical SEO coordinators and SEO copywriters
  • Partner with internal project management team to ensure that client projects are completed on-time and contain all accurate time allocations and project details.
  • Review and deliver one-time and ongoing performance reports to clients on a timely basis, regularly coordinating and leading calls with clients to review.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in SEO
  • Strong understanding of current SEO best practices
  • Google Analytics and Google Search Console experience required
  • Experience with local SEO required
  • Client-facing experience required
  • Experience in Google Tag Manager, SEMRush, Neuron Writer/SurferSEO/MarketMuse is a plus
  • Experience in project management software (IE. Zoho Projects, Workfront, or similar PM environment) and reporting on completed activities preferred
  • Experience in internal communication tools strongly preferred (IE Slack, Teams, etc..)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources and meet deadlines
  • Experience developing and executing content strategies preferred
  • Comfortable working remotely
  • Background in technology/consumer electronics/home automation industries is a plus but not required
