FAQs
We know you have questions — and we have the answers. If you don’t see the answer you’re looking for below, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.
What is a raster-based logo vs. a vector-based logo?
Vector graphics consist of 2D points, which are then connected by curves and lines based on mathematical equations. Once connected, these elements create shapes and polygons. This type of graphic is ideal for designing logos because you can scale the graphics bigger or smaller without losing the image quality.
Raster-based graphics contain pixels instead of points, lines, and curves. Most of the images you see on the internet, and those you download from the web, have a raster graphics format. Raster images are ideal for photo editing, but not a great option for logo design. That’s because scaling these images larger or smaller causes a loss of quality and sharpness.

How does the logo design process work?
After you sign up for one of our logo development services, our graphic designer will send you a logo questionnaire to gather some basic information about your business and what you’re looking for in a logo. Next, you’ll meet with the designer to discuss your logo project, expectations, and timelines. Then, our designer will get to work creating anywhere from 1-5 logo options (depending on the package you purchase) for you to review and provide feedback or revisions. You’ll receive 1-5 rounds of revisions. If you request revisions beyond your package scope, you may purchase them for an additional fee on an hourly basis. Once you approve the final design, we’ll send you the design files for you to keep and use.
How will I receive my final product?
For all logo, logo vector recreation, logo guide, and branding kit projects, we’ll deliver the final files to you in the following formats: JPEG, PNG, PDF, EPS, and AI.
How long does the logo development process take?
On average, the whole process for logo design takes between 2-4 weeks. Logo vector recreation typically takes one week to complete. The more motivated you are to work with our designer to finalize your logo design, the faster the process will move.
What types of logos can you design?
We can design any of the following logo forms:
- Icon: An abstract and stylized visual representation of a company.
- Wordmark: A uniquely stylized text, spelling out the company’s name.
- Lettermark: A typographic symbol, usually the company's initials.
- Combination Mark: A logo combining wordmarks and symbols for maximum flexibility.
- Emblem: An icon and wordmark encased within a design.
